How to Stop

The problem with everyone telling you to wake up is that sometimes the nightmare continues when you're awake. Some nights I have a dream so horrible it hangs with me for the rest of the day. It clings like a wet shirt and it doesn't dry no matter how much warmth I give it.
It can't be avoided and it can't be controlled. You can't change the nightmare but you can change your clothes. The dampness of the dream may hang around a little, but the new clothes will give a way to approach from a new foundation.
The choice is in the approach and not in the event.
Pointing to a nightmare is the easy part. Can you find a way within the nightmare to dry it out for good?
