Luv With A Twist

Another year, another corporate Holiday designed by the greeting card industry and co-opted by everyone else with pockets to fill! Valentines day is fast on the approach but just because capitalism ruins everything doesn’t mean that we can’t find some joy in it for ourselves. In fact, that’s one of the gifts of humanity, finding our own joy.

Last year I made a playlist of some Love Songs that I enjoyed so I thought I would revisit that again this year, but, as someone with an almost debilitating refusal to repeat myself, this year I had to change it up a bit. This year’s playlist is full of Love Songs that all have a little something extra to them. Be that an atypical romantic arrangement, a perverse perspective on love and romance, or even a love song about an inanimate object they’re all a little different than your standards.
